Pineapple 2010

The flowers are still forming and growing.  I wonder how large the fruit will be.

Clementine Orange Flush

The clementine orange is growing new vegetation after I changed all the soil.

Meyer Lemon Flowering Again?

I just looked at my Meyer Lemon. It has three teeny flower buds developing. This seems a bit strange because it just flowered.

Citrus Propagation Update

Well, the cuttings don't seem any farther along than they did two months ago. They are not developing roots. The clementine cuttings died. The Meyer Lemon cutting is trying to flower. I guess it doesn't care that it has no leaves or roots. I may have to change my technique.

Meyer Lemon

Out of 110 blossoms, the plant only has 8 fruits. There are 2 fruits which will probably abort soon because they don't seem to be growing.

Pineapples 2010

The flowers are growing.  Each is emerging from its plant's center little by little.

Pineapples 2010

The center of the plants have opened to the size of a quarter.  The flowers are protruding from the center a little bit more each day.

Pineapples 2010

The flowers are getting larger.  One plant seems slightly farther along than the other.

Pineapples 2010 Flowering

Yippee! My pineapples are starting to flower.  The apples triggered flowering.

Meyer Lemon

I repotted the Meyer lemon a few days ago.  I haven't seen any signs of shock yet.  As of now, the plant has 16 fruitlets ranging in circumference from a pencil eraser to a penny.  My research indicates more fruit might drop.

The plant looks pitiful.  Perhaps she is using all her energy to nurse the fruit.  I hope she recovers this spring and summer.

Seedlings Tangerines

Seedling tangerines Alexandria (on left in back) and Elizabeth (on right in front) got new pots.  Elizabeth had showed signs of distress.  I haven't been watering her because my moisture meter said she was wet.  Once I repotted, I discovered the rocks on the bottom were wet, but the soil was bone dry.  Note to self: don't put so many rocks in the pot.

Meyer Lemon Repot

After deliberating for a while, I decided to repot the Meyer Lemon.  It was not root bound at all.  The soil was slightly moist.  I still don't know for certain why the leaves are discoloured and falling off.  After the shock of the repot, I don't know if the fruit will make it.

Clementine Orange Update

After replacing all the soil in my clementine orange, she is starting to grow again.

Meyer Lemon Status

My Meyer Lemon has finished blooming.  She has about ten lemons that look viable.  However, I've had some problem with leaf drop and leaf discoloration.  I don't know if I've over-fertilized, I have not fertilized enough, she is root bound, etc.  I don't know if I should take action or leave her alone.
