Warming Dragon Fruit for the Winter
I placed my Dragon fruit and other tropicals in the greenhouse. It's a little early; however, better to be prepared than to be sorry. besides, the weather man is calling for rain this week. I don't want my Dragon fruit plants to get overly saturated with moisture.I will try leaving the Dragon fruit plants in the greenhouse. If they start to burn I will take them out and bring them indoors.when the weather starts dipping into freezing temperatures at night, I will bring the Hylocereus plants inside permanently.it's cool to look at how much new growth the plant has put on in the past couple of weeks. There are four new sheets appearing on the largest pitaya plant.
Greenhouse Time
I worked on the greenhouse and chicken coop today. The night air is starting to get chilly, and I want to be prepared. I will bring the dragon fruit in my home in a few weeks. For now, I want to see how they fair in the greenhouse. It would be nice if I could leave the hylocereus out there, as there is more available sunlight there than in the house. I have yet to put he citrus in the greenhouse.

Pineapple garden
I've gotten many pineapple plants in pots. I don't expect any of them will fruit the coming summer because all plants are relatively immature.
Meyer lemon
The Meyer lemon tree has grown a lot since her extreme prune. I have been trying to keep her from flowering so that she can put her energy towards growing limbs.
Seedling tangerines
I was looking for my blog yesterday, and I realize that I haven't posted much about my seeping tangerines.it seemed to me that the ceiling tangerines ahead and grown much. However when looking at the blogs, I see that the one, the tallest, has gotten bushier.A couple of weeks ago I repotted both tangerines just in case they needed more room for their roots to grow. I don't have any fruit yet or flowers perhaps one day.
Citrus kinokuni mukakukishu a.k.a Kishu
My curiosity got the better of me. I went out and picked one of my tiny tangerines. The tangerine was extremely fragrant. I peeled it. The skin was very thin and leathery. The fruit contain three seeds. The flesh was orange and juicy. However, the fruit was very tart. I think it's not ripe yet. I'll have to try another at the end of October.

Could It Be Kishu?
My little tangerine tree is loaded with teeny fruit. I had thought they might get bigger, but it doesn't seem likely. The fruits are smaller than a ping pong ball but larger than a marble. The color is changing in the fruits, so they should be ripe soon. Perhaps they'll grow a little larger.
Lowe's Mystery Pitahaya Begins Growth Flush
The mystery Dragon fruit is going to grow.I hope it can grow a foot or two before the onset of winter.

Mystery Dragon fruit
Well I have no idea what this is. Today I'm leaning towards hylocereus guatemalensis, I.e American Beauty or Bien Hoa Red.
