Hmm... I still dont know what type of hylocereus the plant is. I am now leaning towards Halley's Comet. It is possible that the plant is a white-fleshed variety, but white varieties seem to have about 3 to 5 spines per areole. My plant has 2 to 3. I have ruled out many of the polyrhisus varieties and yellow dragon fruits because the have little undulation and the areoles on some plants are too close together. Thus I do NOT think my plant is Cebra, Rosa, Orejona, Lisa, San Ignacio, Armando, Valdivia Roja, Yellow Selenicerus, or El Grullo. Other magenta varieties seem to have more undulation than my plant. Besides, a study I read stated that magenta varieties tend to have few to no spines. That rules out Sin Espina, Bien Hoa Red, and American Beauty. I have been looking online at different hylocereus varieties, and I believe my plant resembles the Halley's Comet more than other varieties.
